Ascend Math
In 2011, Ascend Education and LEARN joined forces to bring math intervention to CT students. Ascend Math is a web-based targeted K-12 math intervention resource that differentiates student learning and automatically directs students to instructional activities based on individual math deficiencies. Ascend is used successfully with elementary, middle and high school students for remediation, enrichment and accelerated programs and for schools implementing intervention models. Resources include video instruction, virtual manipulatives, print resources, fluency practice, and automatic tracking and reporting. Scope and sequence of individual learning plans are dictated by Connecticut and Common Core standards.

LEARN has partnered with SAT/ACT Test Prep provider EdgePrepLIVE to provide a comprehensive, award-winning course to LEARN region students at a discounted rate. Silverback Learning's Mileposts
School districts today are looking for ways to use data to make a difference in educating all children. LEARN partnered with Silverback in 2013 to provide districts a personalized learning system, Mileposts, a cloud-based platform, which translates data and stores it all in one place. Mileposts collects and connects data from all types of student information, assessment, and curriculum systems at the state, district, school and classroom level. It enables educators to collaboratively plan and deliver individualized instruction. In addition, with the link to Gooru, teachers have access to 11 million activities, videos, quizzes, etc. - all aligned to Common Core Standards.

Virtual High School
Since 2003, the RESC Alliance began offering districts the first statewide movement toward online education through a partnership with Virtual High School (VHS.) Over 400 students each semester gain 21st century skills by selecting from over 200 online classes and engaging and working with peers throughout the world.

To meet the demand for highly challenging classes that give students a competitive edge, Virtual High School is now offering Latin, Mandarin Chinese and a variety of popular Advance Placement Courses. Students can explore career paths before entering college or take Advanced Placement courses not offered in their own school. Middle schools can now join VHS to offer their students access to 50 high school level courses online.

Each RESC can provide its districts with flexible membership options, peer support/user group forums for teachers and site coordinators, program coordination and support, and discounted consortium rates.
