Fingerprinting Services

LEARN offers fingerprinting services for employees, contractors and volunteer positions (such as Student-teachers and interns) of Schools approved by the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection to receive Criminal history record information (CHRI). Fingerprinting Services are only valid in the state of Connecticut.  Results may not be shared with other states.

How to make an appointment:

Fingerprinting services are provided on Thursdays from 9:00-11:00 a.m. by appointment only. To schedule an appointment for fingerprinting, please call LEARN at (860) 434-4800 ext.

What to bring:

  • An unexpired photo ID – government issued such as license or passport. Note: Must know social security number

  • A money order made payable to LEARN for the corresponding fee. Please see the fee chart here. No personal checks accepted!

  • Regional Educational Service Center (RESC) Fingerprint Permission Form, signed and dated by the district/school representative.

Required documentation:

All fingerprinting processing fees require written documentation by the school district where you will be working/placed.

All applicants must submit a completed, signed and Regional Educational Service Center (RESC) Fingerprint Permission Form at the time of your appointment. This form must be completed by the school/district requesting the fingerprint/background check.

*LEARN will not fingerprint applicants who fail to provide the required documentation the day of their appointment. *
