MISSION

 

LEARN’s Young Children and Families initiate, support and provide services for families and young children. Our goals are to strengthen a family’s capacity for learning and growth opportunities. We will meet this goal by working with families and caregivers as well as with education, health, and social service agencies.

LEARN assists several community organizations in developing strength based early childhood systems that can work with other systems helping young children.  These projects include: Birth to Three, Children First Initiatives, Preschool Enhancement Program, Family Resource Center, and the Resource Center in Groton, School Readiness, after school programs, Building Blocks and Accreditation Facilitation which are mainstays in Early Childhood and provide a way to address many issues for young children.

Young Children and Families Diamond provides a framework for Early Childhood issues which supports adults, collaborative relationships designed to assist those helping young people to succeed. Working closely with districts, community agencies, State Department of Education and various Foundations, LEARN facilitates collaborative partnerships and provides professional development and technical assistance on myriad of best practice issues and standards.

Services includes: meeting facilitation, grant writing, community collaboration services.
