  • Education Opportunities (Professional Learning)

We offer a wide variety of professional learning opportunities for early childhood program administrators, classroom teachers and assistants, and family child care providers.  In addition,  we are happy  to develop and provide customized professional learning based on the individual needs of programs or schools.

  • Consultation

Our team provides coaching, consultation, and technical assistance  related to developmentally appropriate practices,   environments, curriculum and planning, standards and assessment, and high quality interactions.

  • Council Development

We partner with several communities through early childhood Councils.  In some communities, we facilitate and coordinate Council activities, while in other communities, we collaborate with the membership to share information and resources related to young children and their families.

  • NAEYC Accreditation Supports

We provide support and technical assistance for  programs working toward accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).   We offer individualized technical assistance for programs interested in earning or maintaining NAEYC Accreditation, and offer Overview sessions, study groups, and trainings connected to NAEYC Standards.  Individualized support is provided to programs through an application process from CT's Office of Early Childhood (OEC).  Professional  learning opportunities are open to all programs regardless of Accreditation status at no cost, thanks to funding from OEC's Division of Quality Improvement.

 
  • Grant Facilitation, Planning and Coordination

We promote networking and collaboration within communities, allow team members full participation in the planning process, and remove the stress of grant coordination and deadlines. External facilitation and grant coordination allow groups to develop short and long-term plans for the delivery of comprehensive quality programs for young children and families. Consultation regarding best practice for transitioning children to kindergarten is available as part of the planning process.
