Elizabeth (Liz) Beaumont has been named Assistant Principal of LEARN’s Regional Multicultural Magnet School (RMMS). LEARN celebrates Ms. Beaumont’s  return to our Family of Schools, as she previously worked at RMMS from 2005-2018. Welcome back, Liz!

Ms. Beaumont brings back to RMMS a depth of knowledge. Her sixth-year certificate in Special Education was awarded by Southern Connecticut State University. That sixth-year certificate was earned, following her Master of Science in Education/Educational Leadership from Troy State University and her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education/Psychology from Bridgewater State College. Her experience, as both a classroom teacher and a teacher of special education, came from her work both in the U.S. and in Japan. Previously, as a Therapeutic Learning Program Special Education Teacher, Liz developed and implemented academic, social skills, emotional recognition, and regulation lessons, while also training others who worked with Therapeutic Learning Program students.

RMMS has strong International Baccalaureate (IB) programming in place. LEARN believes the future is even brighter now for students and families who chose RMMS with Liz Beaumont as part of the leadership team. Liz will rejoin the RMMS community, this time as an administrator, and further strengthen the already high-quality student opportunities. Kate Ericson, LEARN’s Executive Director commented, “Students, staff, and families will all benefit from working side-by-side with Liz. She will be a great resource and a supportive partner, ensuring that each student will have an equitable systems of education, support, and service. Simply put, we are so excited to be able to bring a member of our LEARN family back to LEARN and know that it will have a positive affect on the school.”

Liz Beaumont will return this summer.
