Our visionary and innovative magnet schools welcome students from all corners of the state, regardless of zip code. Attracting a diverse community from various socio-economic backgrounds, races, ethnicities, and academic achievement levels, our schools offer a free education that embraces and values each student's unique identity and circumstances. Opening Students to Limitless Possibilities
As a Regional Educational Service Center with a 55-year history of serving southeastern Connecticut, LEARN's Family of Schools now includes four magnet schools and two specialized schools. LEARN magnet schools provide high-quality educational experiences for students entering PreK up to grade twelve. Our specialty schools serve students ages 3-21 (22); employing a variety of approaches including the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and evidence-based teaching practices to build toward long-term life goals.
LEARN Magnet Schools
LEARN's Magnet programs have three major goals:
- Provide distinct choices for students with different interests, talents, and aptitudes;
- Teach using innovative instructional practices;
- Promote diversity within schools so that students are prepared to live in a multicultural society and a global community
